Modi praised Singh for his bravery, courage and patriotism and said that he was an inspiration to millions of Indians. Singh was part of a freedom struggle in the early 20th century and was one of the most iconic figures of India's struggle for independence. Modi also said that the sacrifice made by Bhagat Singh and his like-minded companions will remain an inspiration for generations to come. He concluded by saying that the nation will always remember him with pride and honour.
